About Yurua

Jewellery made to carry meaning.

Yurua is a Swiss fine jewellery brand built around Brazilian quartz — amethyst, citrine and green amethyst — set in solid 18 karat gold and sterling silver. Pieces designed to be worn close: a tangible reminder of what you already carry.

Meaning, not metaphysics.

We draw on stone symbolism as tradition and personal ritual. We do not claim medical or energetic effects. The stone does not heal you. It marks what you already carry.

A river gave us the name.

The Juruá runs for more than three thousand kilometres through the western Amazon before it meets the Solimões. It is slow, patient water. It carries what it gathers a very long way, and it is in no hurry to arrive.

Yurua is named for that river. Not as ornament, but because the river already described what we wanted the jewellery to do: hold something quietly, and carry it.

Brazil, first.

Amethyst, citrine and green amethyst are Brazilian stones. More of the world's violet and golden quartz comes out of Brazilian ground than anywhere else on earth — from the deep geodes of the south to the mineral belts of Minas Gerais.

That is not a marketing claim. It is simply where these stones come from, and it is the tradition Yurua draws from: colour that was formed slowly, underground, in one particular country, and has travelled a long way to reach you.
