Jewellery made to carry meaning.
Meaning in the wearer.
Some days ask more of you than others. Yurua makes gemstone jewellery for those days — not a promise to change you, but an object of meaning: colour, weight and intention made wearable. The Juru runs for more than three thousand kilometres through the western Amazon before it meets the Solimões. It is slow, patient water. It carries what it gathers a very long way, and it is in no hurry to arrive. Yurua is named for that river. Not as ornament, but because the river already described what we wanted the jewellery to do: hold something quietly, and carry it.
Solid metal. Brazilian quartz.
Yurua works in two metals, and only two: solid 18 karat gold (750) and sterling silver (925). Not plated. Not filled. The stones are Brazilian — amethyst, citrine and green amethyst (prasiolite). That is not a marketing claim. It is simply where these stones come from.
Small releases.
We make few pieces at a time. When a release is open, it is here. No countdown. No pressure to hurry.
